    Holy Wisdom Monastery is partnering with Dane County Parks to host another Women's* Restoration Workday on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, from 1:00-3:30 pm! Why a Women's* Workday? *It can often be hard for women, folks who are non-binary/transgender, and other gender minorities to feel comfortable using chainsaws and brush cutters in a typical restoration workday environment. These workdays are meant to create space for such folks who would benefit from this event and to build community in Dane County.     Grounded: Ten Million Four Hundred Thousand Steps Through Grief to Healing You are invited to attend the opening reception of Grounded: Ten Million Four Hundred Thousand Steps Through Grief to Healing – the newest art exhibit at Holy Wisdom Monastery featuring the photographs of Carolyn S. Knorr. Light refreshments will be served. All the photos in this exhibit were taken within a ten-mile radius of her home in Middleton. Through her photos of prairies, oak savannas and wetlands, Carolyn explores the cycles of change, the intricacies of balance, and the essence of resilience.     Everyone is invited to join us in the Dining Room after 9:00 am Sunday Assembly worship for the Advent Brunch. We will supply an egg bake, and you are all asked to bring side dishes and sweet things. We will also have an added treat! George Teague is a new member of Sunday Assembly and an amazing cellist, who also teaches cello to children. The children will be here on December 8th to play Christmas carols during the brunch! No registration is necessary, just show up with your dish to share.
