Holy Thursday Worship begins at 6:00 pm in the Monastery Assembly Room with the Liturgy of the Word, foot washing, Eucharist, Clearing of the Altar, prayer and meditation. The offering today will go to help local food pantries. All are welcome.

Body movement and rhythmic dance is a natural human behavior in most of the world. Unfortunately, not all religious leaders see it that way. A 1975 Vatican advisory, “Dance in the Liturgy,” acknowledged that some non-Western cultures still retain liturgical dancing and may therefore be appropriate, but not so in the West. Explore nature’s beauty and surprises! Kids on the Prairie (KOTP) is for children and their adult family members. Experienced volunteer educators and guides will facilitate a short hike to learn about nature and explore the grounds and trails. This free event is open to members of Holy Wisdom communities and the general public. Last year, the Monastery’s custom built Schimmel grand piano was refurbished with a generous gift from oblate and Sunday Assembly member Sherri Hansen in memory of her late husband, Scott Shimanski. Join us on Sunday, June 15th, at 2:00 pm for a free concert celebrating this gift to our community. There will also be a formal dedication of the instrument by Sister Lynne Smith, OSB.
